This is an independent group NOT connected to any rescue or the Justice for Reba Movement. We have worked hard with Assemblywoman Melissa Hardy on getting this bill passed. It did initially fail in the Assembly Judiciary Committee, but the overwelming public backlash brought it back to life. We will continue to monitor this very important bill and will unseat anyone that fights this bill or has any part of attempting to kill it.
Nevada ranks 30th in terms of animal protection laws in the United States, which underscores the urgent need for more stringent legislation in our state. Such brutality and indiscriminate violence toward domestic animals cannot be dismissed with a mere fine or temporary imprisonment. We am asking that the Nevada legislature wake up and take decisive action to finally protect our animals in Nevada.
