Reba's Bill

This is an independent group NOT connected to any rescue or the Justice for Reba Movement. We have been working with Carson City for months and have secured a sponsor to draft Reba's Bill that will strengthen penalities for all animal abusers in Nevada. It is currently being drafted as we speak and will be introduced when the legislature starts in February.

Nevada ranks 30th in terms of animal protection laws in the United States, which underscores the urgent need for more stringent legislation in our state. Such brutality and indiscriminate violence toward domestic animals cannot be dismissed with a mere fine or temporary imprisonment. I am asking that the Nevada legislature wake up and take decisive action to finally protect our animals in Nevada.

We are pushing Carson City to create "Reba's Bill" that will strenghten the penaties for any type of animal abandonment, neglect, abuse or death. This bill is not only about one animal, rather every animal in Nevada. You can help by Making Your Voice Heard and SIGN THE PETITION to help change Animal Cruelty Laws in Nevada.

WE FIGHT FOR ALL ANIMALS

Together with our supporters, we fight the big fights to end suffering for all animals. We’re working to strengthen the penalties for animal abuse and cruelty in Nevada. Our laws are way too lenient when it comes to protecting those that can't speak for themselves.

At Reba's Bill, we are working with our legislature to draft a bill called #RebasBill to protect animals across the state of Nevada. Your donation ensures we can keep fighting the big fights on behalf of all animals. Here are just a couple ways we put your dollars to work:

  • Pushing for stronger laws against animal abuse, cruelty and neglect in Nevada

  • Protecting animals by fighting against extreme confinement

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND: In an effort to stop any confusion and create 100% transparency, please be aware We are in NO WAY way connected to any rescue and donations received via this website will go directly towards the efforts to get Reba's Bill passed to protect every animal in Nevada. We have secured a sponsor and it will introduce Reba's Bill when their session starts on February 3, 2025.

 

** Please Note: We are not a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation would not be tax-deducatible. We are not pursuiing 501(c)(3) status as we expect our efforts to only be temporary in getting #RebasBill passed. We expect to fully desolve our organization in June 2025 when the Nevada State Legislature ends their session. If this should change and we end up pursuing a permanent non-profit to fight for all animals on a continuous basis, we will certainly persue those options and update the public.

We will, however, provide documentation on dontions received and where every dollar is going so the public can see how their money is making a difference.  Each month we will release a report of donors covering the previous month. Once we are successful in getting Reba's Bill passed, we will send a survey out to all donors asking where they would like any remaining funds to go if any.
